摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating a range of a positron and quality of a material to be measured by irradiating materials (2-5) to be measured with the positron and detecting an annihilation gamma ray generated by absorption of the positron inside the materials to be measured.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises a positron source 6 and materials (2-5) to be measured, that are installed around the positron source. The positron emitted from the source 6 hits the plurality of materials (2-5) to be measured, that are installed around it, is absorbed in one of the materials to be measured and is annihilated. When an annihilation gamma ray generated when the positron is annihilated is measured by a gamma ray detector such as PET, the material to be measured in which the positron is absorbed and annihilated is specified, and a range of the positron is evaluated from the quality and thickness of the used material to be measured (Fig. 5).
