The molded body has mold jaws (16-19) movable into an outer position within a disk-shaped guide element (14) during manufacturing spiral tubes. The mold jaws are movable into an inner position from an outer periphery of a base mold body (12) for removing the spiral tubes from the molded body. The guide element comprises a guide contour with radially oriented guide contour portions. A control unit controls rotation of the molded body such that a movement of the mold jaws is started depending on a rotational position of the molded body. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing spiral tubes.
