The invention concerns novel compounds inhibiting production of amyloid peptide, their preparation and their uses. The invention also concerns methods for identifying or characterising compounds inhibiting production of amyloid peptide (and in particular non-toxic for embryonic development). The invention further concerns methods and uses of said compounds for treating nervous system disorders, in particular neurodegenerative pathologies such as Alzheimer's disease.
