PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor that has excellent wear resistance, scratch resistance, and reproducibility of fine dots, and can suppress an increase in residual potential; an image forming apparatus including the photoreceptor; and a process cartridge.SOLUTION: A photoreceptor 10 includes a charge generating layer 12a, a charge transport layer 12b, and a protective layer 13 that are sequentially laminated on a conductive support 11. The protective layer 13 contains a binder resin, spherical particles, and needle-shaped particles; the total content of the spherical particles and the needle-shaped particles is 5 mass% or more and 40 mass% or less; and the mass ratio of the spherical particles relative to the needle-shaped particles is 2 or more and 5 or less. |
