摘要 A vehicle operation management system for vehicles traveling in a predetermined travel path, wherein there are provided: a memory unit (128, 142) for storing travel path information including the position, elevation, and surface resistance of a vehicle in a travel path; a speed prediction unit (102) for predicting a future change in vehicle speed when the vehicle has coasted on a travel path, on the basis of the current position, current speed, and travel path information of the vehicle; and a maneuver timing calculation unit (104) for determining, on the basis of the speed change, whether to accelerate, decelerate, or coast from the current position so that the vehicle speed lies within a predetermined range after a predetermined time has elapsed. It is thereby possible to determine from the perspective of fuel-efficient driving whether to accelerate, decelerate, or coast in a vehicle travel path.
