An engine generator (1), comprises an engine (2), a generator (3), a hood (4), and a silencer cabinet (13), in which the engine generator (1) has exterior opening sections (412,414) which are formed on the hood (4) and inhale exterior air into the hood (4), and an air inlet duct (7) which introduces the air inhaled from the exterior opening sections (412,414) into the hood (4); an opening section (71) is formed on the upside of the air inlet duct (7), which is located at the downside set position from the upside of the silencer cabinet (13) along the lateral face of the silencer cabinet (13); a sponge (17) is provided between the upside of the air inlet duct (7) and the lateral face of the silencer cabinet (13) by a mode of partially covering the opening section (71); on the upside of the air inlet duct (7), an air channel (18) is formed between the lateral face of the silencer cabinet (13) and the sponge (17). The engine generator can reduce the noise, and moreover be cooled highly efficiently. |
