<p>The encoder ring (1) has magnetized regions (5) which together produces magnetic field. The magnetized regions are magnetized such that direction (6) changes in respective radial or axial magnetization direction. The sensor (9) is formed in surface (10) of field portion. The surface is formed such that direction of the magnetization in the radial or in the axial direction varies, and surface orthogonal or parallel to the axis (7) is flat or uncurved. The carrier portion (2) is made up of ferromagnetic material or non ferromagnetic material. An independent claim is included for ring arrangement.</p> |
