The present invention relates to a material for a shoe upper, in particular for soccer shoes, with a particularly low weight. The material comprises an inner polyurethane layer 10, an outer polyurethane layer 30, and a textile reinforcing layer 20. The textile reinforcing layer 20 is arranged between the inner polyurethane layer 10 and the outer polyurethane layer 30. The inner polyurethane layer 10 and the outer polyurethane layer 30 comprise thermoset polyurethane. The textile reinforcing layer 20 comprises apertures through which the inner polyurethane layer 10 and the outer polyurethane layer 30 are connected to each other.
