FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and is intended for prevention and treatment of respiratory disorders during sleep in combination with bruxism. Apparatus consists of two acrylic mouth guards which are put on upper and lower jaws. Identical vertical projections 3 are made in lower jaw mouth guard from both sides in the area of respective first molars on vestibular side. Pushers 5 are movably fixed on upper jaw mouth guard 1 on the right and on the left on vestibular side in the area between first and second molars, in form of projections 6, directed towards lower jaw mouth guard 2. Projections 3 and 6 adjoin smoothed lateral surface of opposite mouth guard from vestibular side. Distal sides 4 and medial sides 7 of projections 3, 6 are made respectively at angle 70 - 75° to occlusion plane of mouth guards 1, 2 and are tightly pressed to each other in working position. Lower 3 and upper 6 projections overlap boundaries of vestibular surface of respective mouth guards 1 and 2. Boundary of low jaw mouth guard 2 from tongue surface passes below teeth necks, and palate boundary of upper jaw mouth guard 1 overlaps transverse folds and passes above teeth necks. Mouth guards are separated in chewing area due to front projection 9 in the area of central upper jaw teeth on occlusion surface of upper jaw mouth guard. Projection 9 contacts with horizontal site on occlusion surface of lower jaw mouth guard 1 in the area of central front teeth.EFFECT: possibility to use apparatus for treatment of respiratory disorders during sleep for patients with bruxism with simultaneous elimination of its destructive consequences.1 dwg |
