PURPOSE: A composition containing a gamma-secretase inhibitor for preventing or treating rheumatoid arthritis is provided to reduce cytokines and chemokines. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating rheumatoid arthritis contains a gamma-secretase inhibitor as an active ingredient. The inhibitor includes DAPT, L-685,458, RO4929097, DBZ, Z-YIL-CHO, DAPM, compound E, CW, begacestat(GSI-953), semagacestat (LY450139), BMS 299897 or MRK 560. A food composition for preventing rheumatoid arthritis contains the inhibitor as an active ingredient. |
