摘要 PURPOSE: A powerless gyroscope using surface acoustic waves and a wire/wireless angular speed measuring method are provided to generate surface acoustic waves by using radio frequency signals which are wirelessly received and to wirelessly transmit the reflected surface acoustic waves to a measurement device. CONSTITUTION: A powerless gyroscope (100) using surface acoustic waves includes a surface acoustic wave resonator (110), a surface acoustic wave sensing oscillator (120), and a measurement device. The surface acoustic wave resonator generates first surface acoustic waves; Coriolis force through the interaction between a speed component of the first surface acoustic waves and the applied angular speed on a metallic dot layer positioned at a predetermined position; and second surface acoustic waves by using the Coriolis force. The surface acoustic wave sensing oscillator generates third surface acoustic waves and receives fourth surface acoustic waves which are returned after the third surface acoustic waves are interfered by the second surface acoustic waves. The measurement device measures the applied angular speed by using variations in a period in which the fourth acoustic waves are received.
