PURPOSE: A liquid crystalline medium is provided to have a rapid response time and a low rotational viscosity, and to show a high clearing point, high dielectric anisotropy, a low threshold voltage and a high permeability. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystalline medium with a positive dielectric anisotropy includes a compound represented by at least one Chemical formula IA, and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds of Chemical formulas IIA, IIB and IIC. A manufacturing method of the liquid crystalline medium comprises a step of mixing a compound represented by at least one Chemical formula IA, and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds of Chemical formulas IIA, IIB and IIC, with at least one mesogenic compound and arbitrarily, at least one additive and/or at least one polymerizable compound. |
