PURPOSE: A display device and method for unlocking it incline an affordance object toward a direction of the touch and convert a locked screen into an unlocked screen by control of a display unit according to the touch of the affordance object. CONSTITUTION: When the affordance object is touched, a controller inclines the affordance object toward a direction corresponding to a touch spot, and converts the locked screen into an unlocked screen (30) by control of the display unit. The unlocked screen includes fixed menu area (31) and a specific application execution screen area (32).
