PURPOSE: A display device and a method for unlocking it decouple an affordance object and convert a locked screen into an unlocked screen by a display unit according to a touch on a line on the locked screen. CONSTITUTION: A display unit displays a locked screen (10) including a line and an affordance object (20) connected to the line. When a user touches the line on the locked screen, a controller decouples the affordance object by cutting the line and converts the locked screen into an unlocked screen by the control of the display unit.
