Provided are a stator core for a motor and a manufacturing method therefor that make it possible to further improve the magnetic properties of the stator core. In this stator core (1) for a motor, an annular yoke section (3) and the outer peripheral edge (3a) of the yoke section (3), said outer peripheral edge (3a) comprising teeth sections (5) that protrude inward in the radial direction on the inner periphery of the yoke section (3), are mounted to the inner peripheral surface (7a) of a motor case (7). The stator core (1) for a motor is characterized in that: the yoke section (3) has a displacement section (D) that is displaced by receiving pressing force inward in the radial direction from the motor case (7), and a displacement section (T) that is either deformed in accordance with the displacement of the displacement section (D) and generates tensile stress (sigma1) so that a tensile stress region (A) through which magnetic flux passes is formed in the space between the displacement section (T) and the teeth sections (5), or offsets the compressive stress (sigma2) generated by the pressing force from the motor case (7); and in that prior to attachment of the yoke section (3) to the motor case (7), the displacement section (D) protrudes outward in the radial direction farther than the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface (7a) of the motor case (7) after mounting of the yoke section (3) to the motor case (7), and is displaced by mounting the yoke section (3) to the motor case (7) with interference. |
