The method involves using environment sensor for detecting the vertical distance (D) from the vehicle to the road and expecting point of time and/or location of the impact on the road. The expected angle of incidences (C1,C2) with respect to the location of impact on the road is detected, so as to detect the danger situation. The time change of distance to the road is detected. The time change of the pitch angle (A) of the vehicle relative to the road is detected. An independent claim is included for control device for motor car.
