<p>Provided is a light source unit that can, on the basis of a new concept, suppress unevenness and enable uniform light emission even with asymmetric light-emitting surface shapes using an LED light source. By forming a constitution such that a line segment (L1) that joins the geometric center of gravity of an output surface of a light guide plate and a corner part of the output surface furthest away from the geometric center of gravity crosses a line segment (L2) that joins both end parts of a first incident surface to each other, a second incident surface can be oriented toward the corner part of the output surface furthest away from the geometric center of gravity (M). Thus, LED light source light incident from the second incident surface can be guided to the vicinity of the corner part of the output surface, and light can be emitted at a certain intensity; therefore, surface light emission can be made with as uniform a brightness as possible even if the output surface has an asymmetrical shape.</p> |
