PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that can reduce loss by making a potential difference between adjacent concentrated winding coils small by arranging external connection-side terminals and neutral point connection-side terminals of the concentrated winding coils closely to each other, and making winding resistance low by effectively using slot sectional area, and a method of manufacturing a stator used therefor.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 includes a rotor 2 and a stator 8 having a stator coil 10 comprising an annular stator core 9 and first and second concentrated winding coils 15A, 15B, and the ratio of the number of poles of the rotor 2 and the number of slots of the stator 8 is 8:12. Then a first concentrated winding coil 15A wound around the teeth 13 such that a neutral point connection-side terminal 15a is positioned on an inner diameter side and an external connection-side terminal 15b is positioned on an outer diameter side, and a second concentrated winding coil 15B wound around teeth 13 so that the neutral point connection-side terminal 15a is positioned on an outer diameter side and the external connection-side terminal 15b is positioned on an inner diameter side are arrayed alternately in a peripheral direction. |
