PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having a structure capable of preventing overheating in a belt when the belt having small heat capacity is used, and improving fixing efficiency.SOLUTION: There is provided a heat source 23 for heating parts except a nip, inside a rotatable endless belt 21 forming the nip N by abutting on a facing rotor 22 with a nip forming member 24 provided in a rotatable, endless and flexible fixing belt. Near the heat source 23, there is provided a light shielding member 100 which faces the heat source, shields irradiation light from the heat source 23, being about to reach outside a sheet passing area of the fixing belt 21, and guides the shielded light from the heat source 23 into the sheet passing area of the fixing belt 21. |
