The invention relates to a system for attaching a pedal shaft (1) in an element (7) of a motor vehicle, which enables the assembly and disassembly of said shaft (1) by means of a reversible rotation in said element (7). The main characteristic of the attachment system according to the invention is that said shaft (1) is subjected to a structural modification upon the disassembly thereof by means of rotating the element (7), wherein said modification remains detectable once the shaft (1) is reassembled in said element (7).
