PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a valve control mechanism that can optimally control an engine by lifting an intake valve only by a required amount while suppressing noise in operation.SOLUTION: A valve control mechanism includes a control member 32 that turns centering around the control axis Q by the driving force of an actuator A. The base end part of a rocker arm 40 is supported to an eccentric support part 33 of the control member 32 to be freely rockable centering around the rocking axis T. The rocker arm 40 is rocked by contact of a cam part 22 of a camshaft 20 with an intermediate roller 43 of the rocker arm 40. The valve control mechanism is configured to perform operation to open an intake valve 10 by the pressing force of the rocking end, and then to perform control to change the lift amount of the intake valve 10 by shifting the rocker arm 40 in the longitudinal direction by the operation of the actuator A.
