PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly conductive carbon nanotubes having bundle moieties with an ultra-low apparent density of <0.01 g/cc.SOLUTION: Highly conductive carbon nanotubes are produced according to each process of (i) preparing a spherical metal catalyst by the spray pyrolysis of a catalytic metal precursor solution containing a low molecular weight polymer, (ii) synthesizing carbon nanotubes by a thermochemical vapor deposition method using a carbon source and the obtained metal catalyst, and (iii) obtaining highly conductive carbon nanotubes having bundle moieties with ultra-low apparent density. |
