PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording apparatus which can improve, at connection with an external device, handling/processing properties of its character printing set value converted by a bar code standard by achieving the input/output of the character printing set value, and can contribute to allow flexibility for customers' production systems.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording apparatus 1 includes a print head, a touch panel for performing device setting, a display for displaying a monitor configuration on its screen, an external connecting terminal for providing connection with an external device, each device for controlling both the touch panel and the display, the print head and each device for controlling it, a memory storing programs and set values required for control, and a controller which implements the program for the arithmetic processing of the set values to control these devices. Then the memory stores the character printing set values inputted from the touch panel and a first control program for converting the character printing set values into the bar codes while the controller implements the first control program to convert the character printing set values into bar codes. |
