A cap attaching structure capable of firmly attaching a cap member to the opening section of a tube-shaped member with the resistance of insertion of the cap member reduced, the easiness of attaching the cap member improved, and the breakage of the cap member prevented. This cap attaching structure is provided with a tube-shaped member (30) and a cap member (50) which is attached to the opening section (33) of the tube-shaped member (30). The cap member (50) has: an end plate (51); sidewalls (53) which are extended from the peripheral edge of the end plate and inserted into the tube-shaped member (30); and engagement claw sections (57) which have base ends (57a) connected through slits (55) to the insertion end side of the sidewalls (53), have front ends (57b) extended toward the end plate, and have claws (73) provided to the outer peripheries of the engagement claw sections (57) and engaging with engagement holes (35) in the tube-shaped member (30). The front ends (57b) of the engagement claw sections (57) are arranged in the cutouts (59) of the end plate (51) through the slits (55) and are configured in such a manner that, when deflected inward, the front ends (57b) come into contact with the cutouts (59) to limit the amount of deflection of the front ends (57b). |
