The lifter has a twistable or bendable guide rail (3) on which a driver is slidably mounted. The driver is coupled to a window pane. The rail includes fastening points (51) i.e. clips, that are connected to fastening retainers (41) of a carrier element (2). A support location (61) is provided between the fastening retainers and designed as an additional fastening point. The rail is twisted with a predetermined degree of twist and bent with a predetermined bend radius (R). The rail rests at the support location during bracing of the rail with the carrier element. The guide rail is formed as an extruded plastic rail that is extruded in a sandwich construction such as nonwoven fabric, paper or foil or a metal insert.
