PURPOSE: An optical sensor, a display device having the same, and a driving method thereof are provided to improve the aperture ratio of the display device, and to enhance accuracy in contact information. CONSTITUTION: An optical sensor includes an amplification element (Qa), a sensing electric condenser (Cp), a sensing element (Qp), and a reset element (Qr). The amplification element includes an input terminal, an output terminal, and a control terminal. The input terminal receives a scan signal. The output terminal outputs a sensing signal. The control terminal is connected to a first contact point. The sensing electric condenser is connected to the first contact point. The sensing element includes a control terminal connected to the terminal of a first control signal, an output terminal connected to the first contact point, and an input terminal. The reset element is connected to the output terminal of the amplification element, and resets the output terminal of the amplification element into a second voltage.
