PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio receiver capable of raising switching accuracy of broadcasting stations to reduce unnecessary silent states even when types of broadcasting stations in alternate frequency data are wrong.SOLUTION: A radio receiver includes: an AF data acquisition unit 42 which acquires alternate frequency data; an AF selection unit 43 which sets both of nationwide broadcasting stations and local broadcasting stations to switching objects on the basis of the alternate frequency data to select one from among them; a broadcasting station determination unit 44 which determines whether the selected broadcasting station is the nationwide broadcasting station or the local broadcasting station by actually acquiring program identification data; and an AF restriction unit 45 which performs setting for excluding the broadcasting station from the switching objects in the AF selection unit 43 for a predetermined period when it is determined that the selected broadcasting station is the local broadcasting station. |
