PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of preventing a boot from being dropped due to accidental pulling of the boot or loosening of the bending of an optical fiber cable without increasing the number of operation steps and material costs.SOLUTION: An optical connector 13 comprises: a housing 19 for accommodating ferrules 21 connected to optical fiber tip parts of an optical fiber cable 15; a caulking sleeve 23 which has a cylinder part 63 derived from a rear opening 41 of the housing 19 into which optical fibers 35 are inserted and is accommodated in the housing 19; a caulking ring 25 for fixing a sheath 33 of the optical fiber cable 15 covered on the outer periphery of the cylinder part 63; a protection part 87 for covering the optical fiber cable 15 and the outer periphery of the caulking ring 25; and a boot 27 having a flange part 93 connected to the protection part 87. Neck parts 101 of T-shaped protrusions 99 protrusively provided on the flange part 93 are inserted into boot latching notch parts 81 which are formed on an outer side part 65 of the caulking sleeve 23 and with which an opening end 85 is blocked by a side wall inner surface 73 of the housing 19. |
