PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an offset caused by residual magnetization and to reduce "uncertainty" of a current sensor by using a magnetic fluid for a magnetic core.SOLUTION: A magnetic core 1 comprised of a magnetic fluid is used to generate an exciting magnetic field He with a current containing an AC component in a vertical direction with respect to a magnetic field Hx to be measured which is generated within the magnetic core 1 by a current Ix to be measured. A magnetic flux is generated by a synthetic magnetic field of the exciting magnetic field He and the magnetic field Hx to be measured, and a change of the magnetic flux is detected by a detection coil 3 which interlinks with the magnetic flux, thereby measuring the magnetic field Hx to be measured, namely, the current Ix to be measured. |
