PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document reader capable of easily removing a document jammed in a second passage.SOLUTION: In a document reader 1, at least a part 50 of a document tray 80 rocks around the first axis X1, and can be displaced between a first position for functioning as the document tray 80 and a second position for opening an upper part of the second passage P2 by inclining larger than the first position to a first passage P1. The document reader 1 includes a rocking part 61 being a part of a carrying surface 79A for forming the second passage P2, rocking around the second axis X2 and displaceable between a third position for functioning as the second passage P2 and a fourth position for opening the second passage P2, and a switching mechanism 55 for displacing the rocking part 61 to the fourth position from the third position by interlocking with displacement of at least the part 50 of the document tray 80 to the second position from the first position. |
