PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveying apparatus having a lightweight carriage unit and manufactured inexpensively.SOLUTION: An article conveying apparatus includes: a rail 3 arranged along a conveyance path; and a carriage unit 4 including a traveling carriage traveling on the rail 3 with a conveyed object support member 12 hung, and including a drive means of moving the traveling carriage to travel on the rail 3. An article 2 placed on the conveyed object support member 12 is moved along the conveyance path. In the article conveying apparatus, a transfer means 36 for transferring the article 2 placed on the conveyed object support member 12 so as to attach and detach the article to and from the conveyed object support member 12 is arranged in a part of the conveyance path. |
