PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire that can improve low fuel consumption while maintaining or improving excellent mechanical strengths and a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition for tire in each member (especially tread) of the tire.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for tire comprises a modified natural rubber having a phosphorus content of ≤200 ppm, a butadiene rubber, a compound represented by formula (1) [wherein p is an integer of 2-8] and/or formula (2) [wherein q is an integer of 2-8; Mr+ is metal ion and r is its valence] and carbon black wherein the content of the modified natural rubber in 100 mass% of the rubber component is ≥75 mass%. |
