APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SCHEDULING KERNEL EXECUTION ORDER

PURPOSE: Kernel execution procedure scheduling method and apparatus are provided to guarantee the real-timeness of a kernel schedule based on window consisting of a specific time slot comparably accurately estimating execution time of a kernel. CONSTITUTION: An estimation unit (410) estimates an execution time of a kernel based on an effective progress index (EPI). A control unit (430) determines an execution order of the kernels based on estimated execution time of the kernels and priority of the kernels. If a scheduling method of the kernels is a preemptive method, a preemptive scheduling unit (431) schedules an execution order of the kernels based on a deadline of the kernels. If a scheduling method of the kernels is a non-preemptive method, a non-preemptive scheduling unit (433) schedules an execution order of the kernels by specific size of window based on an estimated execution time of the kernels.
