PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of double-sheet feeding and a failure of sheet feed when documents having different thicknesses are conveyed.SOLUTION: A document conveyance device feeds documents G stacked on a document tray on a document conveyance path by a pickup roller 92, guides the documents into a pair of separation rollers 93 for separating the documents ahead into one and conveys each of the separated documents in a conveyance direction downstream side of the document. The document conveyance device includes: a conveyance resistance imparting part 90 that imparts a conveyance resistance to the documents which pass a document conveyance path between the pickup roller 92 and the pair of separation rollers 93; and a document feeding control part 98 that performs control for making the conveyance resistance smaller when the documents are thick sheets than when the documents are not the thick sheet when the documents are guided into the pair of separation rollers 93. |
