PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting device capable of securing a normal lighting state of an LED light source by setting a range of output as an output current based upon output specifications of the LED light source, and a luminaire with the same.SOLUTION: A control device 6 having received an identification value from an external unit 27 reads an output current corresponding to the identification value out of a storage device 5, and determines the output current as an output current in upper-limit dimming.
