PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article transport facility allowing an installation space of an article transfer part to be easily secured while transferring an article by one ceiling transport vehicle.SOLUTION: A ceiling transport vehicle 1 is configured to freely transfer an article W to/from a first support position P1 of an article transfer part 4 by the elevation and the lowering of a support 18 and to freely receive in the article W from a second support position P2 of the article transfer part 4 by the elevation and the lowering of the support 18. A ground transport apparatus 6 transports the article W between a processing position P3 where an article processing device 3 performs processing on the article W and the first and second support positions P1 and P2. The article transfer part 4 are set so that the first support position P1, the second support position P2, and the processing position P3 are arranged along an arrangement direction in which the article processing device 3 and the article transfer part 4 are arranged. The ceiling transport vehicle 1 includes a movement operation means 20 for moving and operating the support 18 to the regions immediately above the first and second support positions P1 and P2 along the arrangement direction.
