Provided is a gasification furnace equipment pressure equalization structure, which limits spontaneous convection inside the annulus section arising from furnace gas flowing into the annulus section and which makes it possible to reduce the volume of furnace gas and the amount of attendant dust flowing into the annulus section. The structure is provided with: a gasification furnace (3) that gasifies a carbon-containing fuel; a pressure vessel (5) housing the gasification furnace (3); and an annulus section (7) provided between the gasification furnace (3) and the pressure vessel (5) and filled with an inert gas. In the region where the temperature of the furnace gas inside the gasification furnace (3) is higher than the annulus temperature inside the annulus section (7), a pressure equalization section (13), which is connected to the gasification furnace (3) and allows the interior of the gasification furnace (3) to communicate with the interior of the annulus section (7), is provided.
