PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic material that has a large magnetic calorific effect, and stably controls the Curie temperature; and a manufacturing method of the magnetic material.SOLUTION: In a compound having a main phase being a hydrogen storage phase of NaZn 13 type crystal structure configured by including La, Fe, and Si as essential components by contacting an acid solution of pH of 1 to 5 with magnetic material, the fluctuation of the Curie temperature is controlled with high accuracy within a range of 2°C in a range of hydrogen content of 1500 to 2800 ppm, and thereby providing a large magnetic calorific effect. |
