PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating member that allows light to be efficiently coupled to the inside of a light guide member of a coordinate input device, and an input system comprising the operating member.SOLUTION: A pen tip cap 32 provided in a pen 3 confines light from a semiconductor laser light source 31 within the pen tip cap 32 when the pen tip cap 32 is not in contact with a light guide plate 1 provided in the pen input device 40, while the pen tip cap 32 makes light incident on the light guide plate 1 from the pen tip cap 32 for coupling so that the light propagates in the light guide plate 1, when the pen tip cap 32 is in contact with the light guide plate 1. |
