Disclosed are a trigger control method, device and system for an MTC terminal. The method comprises: an MTC terminal in a detached state receiving trigger information which is sent by a base station through broadcasting; and if the MTC terminal determines that the trigger information contains trigger indication information thereof, initiating a connection establishment process and carrying out communication with the base station, otherwise, retaining the original state. Therefore, the MTC terminal in a detached state can obtain trigger information about the network side using the present application, and establish a connection with the network side when needing to carry out communication.
