PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a recording apparatus with a drive source for sliding a cam member to a recording apparatus body, wherein the apparatus is enlarged and time is required from stop of a print operation to start of capping.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus is configured such that a protrusion 41 of a slide cam member 38 engages with an engagement part 83 of a turning member 80 with turning of the turning member 80 when a carriage body 18 moves toward a position where a recording head opposes to a cap part, and the slide cam member 38 sets a position of a vertical direction D3 of the carriage body 18 in the position where the recording head comes into abutment with the cap part. |
