PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine in which sewing properties can be selected, according to various types of sewing, from among continuously provided sewing properties, and which does not require bending of an ankle in a lateral direction, to which an operator is unaccustomed.SOLUTION: A sewing machine includes: a foot controller; a variable resistor which adjusts a resistance value according to a depression amount of the foot controller and is incorporated in the foot controller; and a motor which adjusts a sewing speed according to the resistance value of the variable resistor. The foot controller includes: a base which is provided within the foot controller and holds the variable resistor; and a movement device which moves the base so that the maximum depression angle of the foot controller is changed. |
