PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary characteristics of a low-pass filter in an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided a light separation unit including: an incident side birefringent part which separates an incident subject image according to polarization directions; a liquid crystal part which emits one polarization direction of the subject image emitted from the incident side birefringent part as it is, and emits the other polarization direction by switching whether or not to be rotated by electric control from the outside; and an emission side birefringent part which separates a subject image emitted from the liquid crystal part according to the polarization directions. |
