PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a utensil which is of simple, compact, and inexpensive construction, is easy to stow and to wash in a dish-washer, while also being particularly safe to use.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a utensil 1 for cooking food under pressure, which utensil comprises a vessel 2 and a lid 3, and a control member 6 for controlling locking/unlocking of the lid 3 relative to the vessel 2, in which the control member 6 is mounted to move on the lid 3 between a deployed position corresponding to the lid 3 being unlocked, the deployed position being an abutment position in which the control member 6 is designed to be taken hold of manually in order to enable the lid 3 to be handled, and a retracted position corresponding to the lid 3 being locked and in which the control member 6 is designed to be more difficult to take hole of manually than it is in the deployed position. |
