PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter in which an entire blade is automatically stored simultaneously upon completion of cutting.SOLUTION: In a cutter 1, a hook-like edge 4a of a blade 4 is projected from and retracted in a case 2 by an operation of moving a butting body 6 forward. A spring core 4c is extended to a rear end of a support 4b with a hook-like edge fixed thereon and a spring 8 is arranged on an outer periphery of the spring core for urging the blade 4 toward the rear end. Additionally, a shaft 4e to be guided is pivotably connected through a spring stop end 4d. When an operating part of moving the butting body 6 forward is operated, the butting body 6 advances. A butting piece 6a formed on its front end pushes a projection 5 protruded on the shaft 4e to be guided toward the front end. Thereby, the hook-like edge 4a is slightly exposed from the case 2 against urging. When the exposed hook-like edge is drawn out by cut resistance by a thread bundle 30, the projection 5 is guided by a front side 12a of an edge face guide during pivoting. When cutting is complete, it returns to a pivoting position different from the butting piece 6a and the hook-like edge 4a is automatically stored in the case 2. |
