PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide fiber that has a high polymerization degree and also has abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and thermal resistance, and specifically provide a polyamide staple fiber that is suitably used for a felt of a papermaking operation.SOLUTION: The polyamide fiber is formed of polyamide having a sulfuric acid relative viscosity of 4.0 or more, contains 0.1-10 mass% of a hindered phenolic antioxidant in the fiber, and has a single fiber fineness of 6-35 dtex, a number of crimps of 8-15 crimps/25 mm and a crimp percent of 15-25%. |
