Provided is a lancet including a lancet body, a lancet cap, and a puncture member. In this lancet, the metal puncture member straddles the resin lancet body and lancet cap, and is present thereamong; the distal end of the puncture member is covered by the lancet cap. The lancet body is thinner elsewhere other than the edges thereof, and the edges of the lancet body have a form which extends symmetrically from the thinner section of the lancet body. |
