PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of stating an air conditioner by detecting an intention of a person in a room to start operation thereof.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes: an air conditioner body 1a for sending air into a room, the air of a temperature adjusted by an air conditioning unit; a camera 10 mounted on the body 1a, photographing the inside of the room even during a power supply of the body 1a is turned off, and sequentially outputting the photographed image data; and a control unit 30 for turning on or off the power supply of the air conditioner body 1, when determination is made whether a human body is present in a predetermined area S by a sequential input and processing of the image data photographed by the camera 10, and whether a human body's face is continuously directed to the camera 10 for a pre-set time of intention confirmation, and when determined that the human body's face is continuously directed to the camera 10 for the pre-set time of intention confirmation. |
