The invention relates to a manipulation assembly (10, 110, 210) comprising: - an element (11, 111, 211) that is to be manipulated, extending along a substantially horizontal axis (12, 112, 212), - a manipulator device (13, 113, 213), the manipulator device being equipped with means (15, 115, 215) for grasping the element that is to be manipulated, the element that is to be manipulated being equipped with complementary assembly means (17, 117, 217) able to collaborate with the grasping means of the manipulator device, said assembly being characterized in that said grasping means and said complementary means are configured in such a way that assembly and/or disassembly between said means is performed by a translational movement of the manipulator device in relation to the element that is to be manipulated, along the substantially horizontal axis of said element. Such an assembly allows heavy elements which are sensitive to compression to be handled with ease, notably in the context of motor car assembly. |
