An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method of manufacturing the LCD are provided to fix a cover shield including an adhering member to the backside of a backlight assembly without a screw to reduce a processing time and decrease the manufacturing cost. An LCD includes an LCD panel, a board assembly(110), a backlight assembly(120), a top case(130), and a cover shield. The board assembly includes a signal unit which receives a signal and transmits the signal to the LCD panel. The backlight assembly is located under the board assembly and emits light to the board assembly. The top case is combined with the top of the board assembly and fixes the board assembly to the backlight assembly. The cover shield is combined with the backside of the backlight assembly. The cover shield includes an adhering member such that the cover shield is attached to one side of the backlight assembly and combined with the backlight assembly without using a screw. |
